Before starting Shredr, Sam spent years at W. L. Gore & Associates (the makers of GORE-TEX), one of the most advanced manufacturers in the world. Even there, plants ran on paper purchase orders, manual data entry, and legacy systems that didn't talk to each other. The software to fix it existed, but it was built for enterprises with seven-figure IT budgets, not for the people doing the work.
At Microsoft he worked on the AI and cloud platforms behind some of the biggest digital transformations in the world. Large companies had every automation tool they could want. Smaller operators were still running on paper and spreadsheets, and not just in factories. On an airport deicing pad or in a construction trailer, the day's work gets written down and someone types it in later.
That's why Shredr exists: to give those teams the same automation without the enterprise price, the 18-month rollout, or the consultants. Most customers are up and running in less than a day.
